The Sound for Wreck It Ralph was really well mixed and brought together 8-bit video game sounds with high quality sound in a current movie.  While in the games, the 8-bit sound is more noticeable but that is because they want to bring the game to life and make it feel like the audience is in the scene too.  The realistic sounds make the scene seem more realistic, which allows the characters in the movie to move and talk and make sounds like people really move.  In the first scene, there is clothes movement that you can hear and when they walk or hit something, it sounds realistic.  While in the second scene the characters are dancing and make 8-bit sounds, there are real sounds like ice shaking, people singing and the sounds of Ralph outside on a trolley cart with glass bottles clinking.  Overall I think this movie really sounds good with the combination of 8-bit sounds and better quality sounds.  The two sounds bring the concept of the movie together really well and they did a good job mixing the sound for the movie to make it a success.
Wreck It Ralph also won a Golden Reel Award for Best Sound Editing in sound effects, foley, dialog and ADR in an Animation Feature Film.
