The song is in 4/4 meter.
Just by looking at the
number of instruments heard in the song, and the order that they go
in, it seems that there is very little deviance at all, but in the
context of the song, there is major chances. The first thing that I
noticed about the song is there aren't the usual instruments in
there, no guitar, or bass. I found that very cool, and interesting.
When the song first starts, it starts with a nice rich organ, and
these very airy vocals, then nice backing vocals. Then comes in a
booming drum kit. Since there isn't a lot of instruments in the song,
and some are electronic, there is a lot of space to fill in the song.
The song is mostly Vocals, Organ, and Drums. The Organ doesn't seem
to have any sort of reverb or anything on it, maybe a little bit of
compression, and EQ. The vocals on the other hand are booming and
very airy. There is a lot of reverb, some compression, and some EQ.
The backing vocals seem to have a little more reverb on them than the
main vocals, but they do fill out the sound nicely with what they
have. The drums have a lot to them. There is compression, reverb on
the snare and toms, and EQ, and the symbols just seem to cut through
all that and get a crisp crash in the song when they are hit. There
is a tambourine in the song that play almost throughout the whole
song, it add to the drums and give the song more character.
