This scene was something different than what I have done in the past. It was a nice change to try and do something that couldn't get sounds from the set. Everything in this had to be either foley or created. The mix overall was good in this clip, but there was some parts of the scene that the sounds were either too small or just non existent. There was many times where all that there was, was music and a sequence going on the screen. There was no SFX or anything. This kind of messed with my music mind a bit. Not having any SFX when I know there should be kind of struck a chord with me. But the sound effects that were there really fit and I think did a great job extenuating what was going on in the scene. The music was well mixed, I am not sure it was the right music. Using Journey in an animated film, non the less an “action” film was a bit risky. I don't think that it really works in my opinion. When the fighting starts, the song still is going and it doesn't fit the scene at all. But once the song ends and the instrumental comes on, it really felt more like it went with what was going on, on the screen. There is a lot that could have been done differently with this scene, I really would have fixed the SFX and had them more pop in the mix, and I would have chose a different song for the non- instrumental, other than that I think everything was pretty well mixed.
