Mix Analysis of "How to Love" - Lil Wayne
Mixed by Fabian Marasciullo inside The Hit factory Studio 1.
Mastered by Brian Gardner
Producer: Noel 'Detail" Fisher
0:00:00 - The guitar comes in, sounds wide as if it is 90 degrees in my left and right ear but not centered.
There is a snap or snare with reverb that is panned slightly right, maybe at 10 degrees
The vocals are centered and very soft
0:00:10 - The toms are introduced. They are low in the mix, mostly centered but panned slightly to the right
0:00:20 - The bass comes in. Most centered element so far. It booms but does not over power.
0:01:05 - Other synths begin to come in from the left. They are subtle
0:01:30 - Synths in full effect, low in the mix, sound about 30 degrees to the left
0:01:45 - back ground vocals that are panned to the left are heard very faintly
0:02:00 - 2:30 can "hear" guitar's automation. It ducks down ever so slightly as the other instruments momentarily take over. Guitar almost disappears completely but is still heard very low
0:02:48 - guitar takes back over, although still accompanied by low-lying synths panned left.
0:03:00 - vocal delays are set intricately in mix
0:03:30 - background vocals are more noticeable, brought up through automation? carry track to end.
0:04:10- fades out, no drastic changes in mix, song plays out.
