Song: Here Comes the Hotstepper
Artist: Ini Kamoze
Producer: Salaam Remi (Most recently did Alicia Key's "Girl is on Fire")
Mixed: David Rowe
Okay, so this is a gem from the 90's that I just had to use. Be glad, it was either this or "Informer". Thankfully I chose not to subject all of you to a white, reggae rapper from the mean streets of Canada...
Also, This song is very repetitive and rather than try to label the duration of all of the samples used, I'm just going to layout when they begin playing. Otherwise I would have 250,000 overlapping time codes...

For as simple as this song is, everything fits together pretty well. Just about everything is right down the middle, and aside from the jumping "Hey", everything stays put. A decent dynamic range was created just from volume differences alone. The minimal use of reverb and delay help keep the focus on the vocals where they belong. Viva-la-nineties!
