I chose this because I thought it would be a huge contrast from Skyfall. I also chose specifically the beginning due to the fact that it was the nation's first 2 minutes ever of Family Guy so it was unique to see what hooks people. Given that this segment is now over 14 years old it gave me a chance to see where Family Guy was and has since come. To me this mix sounds almost "primative" in ccomparison to even Family Guy episodes now. There is a lot of empty room here and to me almost feels like this was done of a very low budget. There really wasn't much layering going on in this clip. The sound effects are straight forward and the fades are very short. After analyzing this I do not think I appreciate this mix at all however this could be because I am jaded by current Family Guy episodes that are of better sound quality. I was happy to have this vast contrast and look into the past into what sound for cartoons was like when I was about 9 years old.
